The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses

Qin Terra-cotta warriors and horses mausoleum was located 1.5 kilometer away to the east of the mausoleum, it is the satellite tomb of the mausoleum of the first emperor. Now the three Terra-cotta pits are the very small part of the whole underground kingdom. Pit No.1 was the main body the whole underground army most of which are infantrymen and chariots.pit No.2 was the zigzag-shape formation special army , most of which are chariots , cavalrymen and archers . pit No.3 was the headhunters of the whole underground army, three pits were connected each other review the powerful situation of the Qin army 2200 yeas ago. Thousand of Qin army have thousands of solders, all different and vivid. The bronze chariots and lots of real weapon are all very detail in technique.and the bronze sword was as sharp as new one, which show the very high metallurgical level in Qin dynasty. The discovery of the Qin Terra-cotta stirred up a sensation across the whole world. It was called "the eighth wonder of the world ", "the most important archaeological discovery of the 20th century ".

The Big Wild Goose Pagoda

Situated in the south of xi'an city ,the big Ci'en temple was built by the prince Li Zhi of tang dynasty (who later became Emperor) at the site of Wulou temple for the purpose of keeping his mother happy in the netherworld. After its construction, at the invitation of the famous monk , many knowledgeable monks arrived here and coordinated their efforts so as to translate large quantities of Buddhist scripture classics , thus creating a new stage in the translation history of china. The big wild goose pagoda was built in 652 A.D.to store the Buddhist scripture brought back from ancient India. It is one of the famous architectural marvels in tang dynasty .it was called Ci`en temple pagoda in tang dynasty 1300 years ago and commonly called the big wild goose pagoda.

The Bell Tower and Drum Tower

The Bell Tower stands in the center of xi'an city ,the pivot of four main streets in four directions .it was built in four direction. It was built in the 17th year of Ming hongwu Era (1384). Originally it was at the corner of Guangji street and moved to the present place in the 10th year of Ming Wanli Ear (1582) .there is an old bell hanging in the tower to give correct time in ancient time , so comes the name .it covers 1378 square meters in area, has three floors and is 36 meters in height. The drum tower is on the west side of the bell tower , echoing each other at a distance . as a classical construction, it was built in the 13th year of Ming Hongwu Era (1380).it 's named as the drum tower because a big drum was placed on the tower in the past time, which was hit at dusk everyday for giving correct time.the drum tower is built in the center of building base with altogether 33 meter high.

The Xi'an City Wall

The Xi'an City Wall was built in the 3rd year of Ming Hongwu Era(1370)and extended on the base of the ruins of the Imperial City Wall of the Tang and Sui Dynasty,which was completed within eight years.It is the best preserved,oldest and largest ancient city fortification in China. It takes rectangle shape with a circumference of 13.7 kilometers, a height of 12 meters, a bottom width of 18meters, a top width of 15 meters. At each of the gate in east ,west,south and north respectively, there are three types of towers,namely,main tower, arrow and gate tower.Altogether three types of towers, namely,main tower,arrow tower and gate tower.Altogether there are 98 ramparts in the wall, surrounded by a protective moat, forming this strong and lofty ancient military defense system.
